For merchants, Worldline offers payment terminals, online payments, acquiring, payment gateways and Tap on Mobile. Banks and other financial institutions can use it for issuing, acquiring, open banking and ATM management, among other things. Worldline also provides payment solutions for mobility and digital services. The services are delivered by Worldline itself; the software is not open source.

Worldline S.A. is based in Paris La Défense and listed on Euronext Paris, following its 2014 IPO as a carve-out from Atos. The company says it has local experts in about 40 countries. According to Wikipedia, its shareholder base is largely free float, complemented by SIX Group, Crédit Agricole and Bpifrance, among others; a non-European parent company is not named among them.
