Billomat is an online accounting and invoicing program for freelancers, small business owners and small and mid-sized businesses without an in-house bookkeeper, including those who work with tax advisers. It offers invoice creation with templates, recurring invoices, e-invoicing, matching of payments against business bank accounts, manual or automated payment reminders, management of incoming invoices, a DATEV interface, income-surplus (EÜR) calculation and an API. Debt collection and factoring are available as additional services. It runs in the browser as a cloud service.
The legal notice on the Billomat site names aifinyo AG, based in Berlin, Germany, as the operating company, and aifinyo announced that Billomat would join its group in 2022. The software is proprietary, not open source. The vendor's pages do not state where the application data is hosted; the privacy statement names Hetzner Online GmbH, a German hosting company, as host of the website. For a European organisation this means a German vendor group; to confirm data location and sub-processors for accounting data, request the processing agreement.
