BugSplat is a crash and error reporting platform for software and game developers. It captures crashes, exceptions and user-reported issues, groups them by stack signature and shows symbolicated stack traces. Further capabilities include alerts and digests, regression detection, integrations with issue trackers such as GitHub, GitLab and Jira, an API, and an MCP server for querying crash data from an IDE. It supports many platforms, including Windows, macOS, Linux, Unity and Unreal, and is used through a web dashboard.
BugSplat is headquartered in Boulder, Colorado, in the United States, and describes itself as bootstrapped and independent. As a US company it is subject to US jurisdiction, including the CLOUD Act. Its documentation names Amazon Web Services as the infrastructure operator but does not state a hosting region, so a European organisation should ask the vendor where crash data is stored before sending dumps that may contain personal data. BugSplat is commercial software and is not open source.
