Cegid is a French provider of cloud business management software for companies and the public sector. Its offering covers finance and accounting, human resources and payroll, omnichannel retail solutions, and travel and expense management through Cegid Notilus. The solutions are delivered as cloud services. Cegid has announced a planned combination with the payroll software provider Silae, which is expected to complete in the first half of 2027, subject to approvals.
Cegid is headquartered in Lyon, France. The US private-equity firm Silver Lake is the majority shareholder and is expected to remain so in the combined group, which is relevant for CLOUD Act exposure. In its privacy policy Cegid states that data may be processed outside the European Union, including by subsidiaries in Morocco, Canada, the United States and China, on the basis of the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. The policy does not say where data is hosted. Cegid does report ISO 27001 certification for hosting customer applications in the cloud. Ask, product by product, where data is hosted.
