Certinomis is a French qualified trust service provider under eIDAS and a brand of Docaposte. It provides certificates for electronic signatures, electronic seals and website authentication, plus electronic time-stamping. Docaposte also offers, among other services, electronic signature, e-invoicing, archiving, identity verification and registered electronic mail (AR24). Organisations use the certificates to sign or authenticate documents, messages and websites in a legally reliable way. The services are delivered by the provider itself; no open-source or self-hosted variant is described.
Docaposte belongs to La Poste Groupe. According to Docaposte, data is hosted in data centres in France that its own teams operate, with no subcontracting or outsourcing. For a European organisation this means a French provider with hosting inside the EU; the sources consulted name no non-European parent company.
