Cisco Secure Firewall is Cisco's firewall family for protection against threats in data centres, cloud, campus, branch and industrial environments. The models are delivered as hardware appliances, as virtual firewalls in private or public cloud and as container protection. Threat detection draws on Talos threat intelligence, and management runs through an on-premises Firewall Management Center or through the cloud service Security Cloud Control.
Cisco Systems, Inc. is headquartered in San Jose, California (US) and is subject to US law, including the CLOUD Act. The firewalls run on the customer's own infrastructure, so traffic and policy stay there as long as management is local. The cloud management service has an EMEA region alongside US and other regions, but Cisco does not state the physical location of the European region. Cisco has EU binding corporate rules, is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and uses standard contractual clauses where needed. There is no open-source version.
