The CMI Lösungsplattform is a software platform for Swiss public authorities, schools and archives. It supports the management of dossiers, tasks and contacts (GEVER), the administration of boards and committees, digital government services and archiving. CMI also offers specialist modules, for example for building permits, contract management and school administration, plus an open API for integrations. The solution runs in the CMI Cloud, which CM Informatik AG operates itself; according to the website, on-premises operation is also possible.
CM Informatik AG is based in Schwerzenbach (canton of Zurich); its imprint names CMI Holding AG at the same address as the holding company. No foreign parent company is mentioned. According to CMI, operation and backups of the CMI Cloud take place exclusively in certified Swiss data centres. Switzerland is not an EU member state but is an EFTA country with an adequacy decision from the European Commission. The privacy notice is based on the Swiss Data Protection Act and, by its own account, largely meets the GDPR.
