DoliSCAN: sovereignty score and 8 European alternatives

DoliSCAN is an application for expense reports. Users photograph a receipt with the smartphone app, enter a few details and save it; the receipt is archived and the data is stored on a server. At month end the system generates an expense report as a PDF, a PDF compiling all receipts, and a file of accounting entries for the accountant. Connectors exist for Dolibarr and Quadratus. The app runs on Android and iOS; the server is a PHP application built on Laravel with a MariaDB database.

DoliSCAN is developed by CAP-REL SAS, a French company. The server code is published under the GNU AGPL and the app under the GPL. You can host the server yourself, so the data stays on your own infrastructure, or have CAP-REL host it. According to CAP-REL's data protection policy, those servers are physically located in France, rented from the French providers OVH and Scaleway and from its subcontractor Informatique-Libre. For archiving with evidential value, a third-party trust service, UpToSign, can optionally be used.
