eMarketeer is a marketing automation and lead management platform delivered as software as a service. It is aimed at marketing built around leads and is available in English, Swedish, Norwegian and Danish. Organisations use it to manage campaigns, track contacts and pass leads on to sales teams.
eMarketeer is a product of eMarketeer AB, a company established in Sweden. According to the vendor, the service runs on Amazon Web Services and all customer data is stored in the EU, encrypted with eMarketeer's own keys. The customer acts as data controller and eMarketeer as processor under a data processing agreement. The vendor states that services provided by US-based parties either rely on standard contractual clauses or store data in the EU. The software is not open source. Because the underlying infrastructure comes from a US cloud provider, the exposure of that layer to US law remains a point of attention for European organisations.
