EndeavourOS is a free, open-source Linux distribution based on Arch Linux with a graphical installer (Calamares). It is aimed at users who want Arch's rolling-release model without a fully manual installation. Packages are managed with pacman, and the yay helper gives access to the Arch User Repository. During installation you choose a desktop environment, such as KDE Plasma, GNOME, Xfce or Cinnamon, and a bootloader, systemd-boot or GRUB. The project began in 2019 as the successor to Antergos.
EndeavourOS is built by its community and developed openly on GitHub. Its website and privacy policy name no legal entity or country; donations go through Open Collective Europe ASBL as fiscal host. The software is open source and runs on your own hardware, so you decide where data is stored; updates come from the Arch and EndeavourOS package sources. Organisations that need contractual support should keep in mind that the project is run by a community.
