Manjaro is a Linux distribution built on Arch Linux that aims to make Arch more accessible and more stable. It uses a rolling-release model with three repository tiers, Unstable, Testing and Stable, which the project calls cascading stability. The official editions use KDE Plasma, Xfce or GNOME; community editions include Cinnamon, i3 and Sway. Installation is via the graphical Calamares installer or the command-line Manjaro Architect. You install Manjaro yourself on your own hardware.
The project is backed by Manjaro GmbH & Co. KG, which the website calls an open source driven company, registered in Berlin, Germany. The software is free software, mainly under the GNU GPL. According to its privacy policy, contact-form messages are handled on the company's own mail server in Germany. Because you run Manjaro on your own infrastructure, you decide where your data is stored; for European organisations it is a product of a company registered in Germany.
