Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform is Google Cloud's platform for building, deploying and governing AI agents. It became the successor to Vertex AI in April 2026, and Vertex AI Agent Builder is now part of it. For example, Agent Engine is now called Agent Runtime and Vertex AI Studio is now Agent Studio. The platform is delivered as a managed cloud service and through APIs, and gives access to Google's own models as well as third-party models.
The service is provided by Google, part of Alphabet and headquartered in the United States, and falls under US jurisdiction, including the CLOUD Act. Customers can choose where stored data is kept. With US and EU multi-region endpoints, processing stays within the chosen region; the EU multi-region covers EU member states only, so it excludes the United Kingdom and Switzerland. Global endpoints offer no guarantee about where processing takes place. A European organisation should therefore explicitly select an EU location and an EU endpoint.
