GEP SMART is GEP's source-to-pay procurement platform. GEP describes it as a cloud-native, unified procurement platform. GEP's current platform pages list modules for sourcing, contract management, supplier management, spend management, procure-to-pay and third-party risk management, supplemented by AI agents. It is aimed at large, globally operating enterprises, including regulated industries. GEP delivers it as SaaS, with the customer acting as data controller and GEP as processor.
GEP is headquartered in Clark, New Jersey (United States), and is therefore subject to US jurisdiction, which is relevant for the CLOUD Act. According to GEP, the platform supports multi-region deployment, data residency and customer-managed encryption keys. GEP does not publicly name the exact hosting locations. For transfers outside the EU, GEP offers the EU's standard contractual clauses, and it lists SOC 1, SOC 2 and ISO 27001. No open-source edition is mentioned.
