Microsoft Copilot Studio is a low-code studio for building and managing AI agents and workflows. Makers describe an agent in plain language or design it graphically, connect it to organisational data through prebuilt or custom connectors, and publish it to channels such as Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Copilot, websites and mobile apps. It adds analytics, evaluations and role-based administration, and is used as a cloud service through a web app.
Copilot Studio is operated by Microsoft, a US company. Organisations choose the geography where their data is stored, in Azure datacenters. A tenant with an EU or EFTA billing address is in scope of the EU Data Boundary if all its environments are created in a geography within it. Copilot Studio can also be configured to use generative AI features in other geographies, including when capacity is constrained, so this setting deserves attention.
