Norgeskart is Norway's national map portal, offering topographic maps at scales from 1:500 to 1:10 million. The maps are published by Kartverket, the Norwegian Mapping Authority, and are also available as standard map services that other applications can use. Norgeskart is a web service, so users do not need to install an app. A greyscale version of the topographic map is also offered as a WMS service.
Kartverket is a Norwegian government agency. Norway is a member of the European Economic Area, so use of the service falls under Norwegian law and EEA rules that closely follow European ones. The service has no foreign parent company. For European public bodies and companies, Norgeskart is therefore a national source of topographic data that can also be integrated into other applications through its standard services.
