Pimcore is a platform for enterprise data and experience management. It combines product information management (PIM), master data management (MDM), digital asset management (DAM), a customer data platform, a digital experience platform with CMS functions and a digital commerce framework. Product data and content are stored separately from the output channels and delivered through REST and GraphQL interfaces. Pimcore is built on PHP and Symfony and comes in Community, Professional and Enterprise editions. You can run it in a private or public cloud, on-premises or as a managed PaaS service.
Pimcore is headquartered in Salzburg, Austria, with subsidiaries in Germany, the United States and Canada. The core is published under the Pimcore Open Core License (POCL), an open-core model with source-code access; the Community Edition is free. Because Pimcore can run on your own infrastructure, a European organisation can keep its data in an EU environment of its choosing. The PaaS offering supports several cloud regions, but the vendor does not list them on its website, so agree the required EU region in the contract.
