PowerOffice is a Norwegian provider of accounting software, mainly for small and medium-sized businesses, with PowerOffice Go as its main product. It shows revenue, costs, receivables and supplier debt in real time, and supports creating and sending invoices, approving vouchers and paying directly through Norwegian banks. Receipts can be photographed with the mobile app, and there are modules for payroll and for registering hours, leave and expenses. More than three hundred integrations connect it with other tools. A section for accountants is also offered.
PowerOffice is based in Bodø, Norway, and operates as a separate company under its own brand. Visma, also Norwegian, bought the majority of its shares in 2019. Norway belongs to the EEA but not to the EU. The sources consulted do not state where data is stored. The software is not open source and no self-hosted edition is described. For a European organisation this means a Norwegian vendor established within the EEA.
