PriceRunner is a Swedish price comparison service that lets consumers compare prices for a wide range of products offered by retailers. It was launched in Sweden in 1999 and also operates in Denmark, Norway and Britain. Advertisers finance the service through pay-per-click fees, so it also works as a marketing channel for merchants.
PriceRunner is headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden. It has been part of the Swedish payments company Klarna since 1 April 2022, following an acquisition announced in November 2021 from the Swedish investment firm Creades. Because both companies are Swedish, the ownership does not add a non-EU parent. The public sources reviewed do not state where PriceRunner stores its data or which cloud provider it uses. Organisations that need that detail for advertising campaigns or customer data should ask the company directly before sharing data.
