Prisma Browser, formerly Prisma Access Browser, is an enterprise browser from Palo Alto Networks. It keeps the familiar interface of Google Chrome and adds security controls against phishing, malware, eavesdropping and data exfiltration. It is intended for managed and unmanaged devices, for example contractors, partners or BYOD users who need access to SaaS and private web applications. It is administered through Strata Cloud Manager and licensed either standalone or as part of a Prisma Access bundle.
Palo Alto Networks is a US company headquartered in Santa Clara, California, and is therefore subject to US jurisdiction, including the CLOUD Act. The company has announced that the browser runs on regional cloud infrastructure in Asia-Pacific and Japan to meet data residency needs. No official list of regions, in particular for Europe, was found; consult the documentation or your account manager for that. For European organisations, the location where browsing data is processed and the contractual safeguards for transfers outside the EU are the points to check in advance.
