Kemp LoadMaster is a family of load balancers and application delivery controllers that distribute traffic across servers and applications. It is sold under the name Progress Kemp LoadMaster and is offered as hardware appliances, as virtual machines and as cloud images. IT teams use it to improve the resilience and availability of applications. Customers install and operate it in their own data centres or cloud accounts, so the product runs on infrastructure they control.
Kemp was acquired by Progress Software in 2021 and is now part of the Progress product portfolio. Progress Software Corporation is a US company with its address in Burlington, Massachusetts. Its privacy notice states that the information it collects is hosted and stored in the United States, and that transfers from the EU rely on standard contractual clauses. For a European organisation the product itself runs on its own infrastructure, but contracts, support access and the processing of personal data fall under US ownership and US law, which is a CLOUD Act consideration.
