Quipu is a cloud platform for invoicing and financial management, aimed at self-employed professionals, companies and accounting firms in Spain. Its functions include invoicing, bank reconciliation, receipt scanning, cash-flow forecasting, tax forms and compliance with Verifactu, Spain's mandatory electronic invoicing system. The service runs in the browser and as a mobile app, and integrations and an API are available on its Solution plan.
Quipu is headquartered in Barcelona. Through its French parent Sellsy, the company belongs to the Italian TeamSystem group, which acquired Sellsy in 2025. TeamSystem's majority shareholder is the US private equity firm Hellman & Friedman, so a US owner sits above the vendor and the US CLOUD Act is relevant. Quipu states that its backups and data run on AWS servers. The software is proprietary and offers no self-hosted or open-source option, so European organisations should weigh the ownership structure and hosting arrangements against their own requirements.
