Screenpresso is a Windows program for screen capture. You take screenshots, including scrolling windows, and record video as MP4 with sound and webcam. Recorded videos can be trimmed and given automatically generated subtitles, and confidential areas can be blurred automatically. A built-in editor offers arrows, numbered steps and speech bubbles, and the program can generate PDF, DOCX or HTML documents from your captures. Sharing works with many services, including Screenpresso Cloud.
Screenpresso is published by Learnpulse SAS, a French company in Toulouse; no foreign parent company was found. Its privacy policy states that captures are stored only when you share them yourself. According to that policy, media on Screenpresso Cloud are hosted on Amazon S3 in the Ireland region, a service of a US provider, and Learnpulse says it complies with the GDPR. For licence management it processes details such as the machine name, the drive serial number and the username. For European organisations it is a local capture tool from a French vendor with optional EU-hosted cloud sharing.
