Phocus is Hasselblad's RAW processing program for images from Hasselblad cameras, available for Windows and macOS. It offers local adjustment layers, perspective and lens correction, a film grain tool and tethered shooting for selected camera models. The desktop program runs on the user's own computer, where RAW files are processed. A separate Phocus Mobile version exists for mobile devices. Both are published by Victor Hasselblad AB, the Swedish company behind Hasselblad cameras.
Hasselblad is headquartered in Gothenburg, Sweden, and its privacy policy names Victor Hasselblad AB as controller. According to reports since 2017, the Chinese drone maker DJI holds a majority stake in Hasselblad, which DJI itself has not detailed publicly. Sweden is therefore the seat and China the country of the parent owner. The privacy policy says products and services connect to servers in the European Union, the United States and China, and that data may be transferred to other countries. Because Phocus processes files locally, the sovereignty question mainly concerns connected services and accounts. The policy does not mention the GDPR by name.
