SKUDONET: sovereignty score and 8 European alternatives

SKUDONET is an application delivery and security platform built on open-source technology, combining load balancing, high availability, security and traffic control, managed through a web GUI. Security features include a web application firewall, DDoS protection, TLS/SSL inspection, API protection and a secure web gateway. The Community Edition is free and open source, available as source code or an installable ISO. The Enterprise Edition builds on it with additional scalability, visibility and security, plus support, and is offered as a virtual appliance, as software for bare metal or as hardware. SkudoCloud is a SaaS load balancer with no infrastructure to manage.

SKUDONET is headquartered in Mairena del Aljarafe near Seville, Spain. It began in 2010 as Zen Load Balancer, was later renamed Zevenet, and is now SKUDONET, described as the legal and technical continuation of Zevenet. When self-hosted, you decide where traffic is processed; the website does not state a hosting location for SkudoCloud.
