Sourcery is an AI code review service. It reviews each pull request, posts a summary, review comments and suggested fixes, and can approve low-risk changes automatically. A separate security offering scans new changes and the existing codebase for exposed secrets, vulnerable code, misconfigured infrastructure and dependencies with known vulnerabilities. It connects to GitHub and GitLab, including self-hosted GitLab, and offers VS Code and PyCharm integrations.
Sourcery is provided by Sourcery.AI Limited, a company based in the United Kingdom. According to its data processing terms, account and usage data are stored in the UK and the European Economic Area, while application hosting runs on Google Cloud. Code review and assistant inference runs on Microsoft Azure OpenAI in Sweden, and other model providers such as Anthropic and OpenAI may be used. The vendor states that code is used only for the review and never to train models. An Enterprise plan can run inside the customer's own infrastructure with its own model keys, which reduces dependence on the vendor's cloud.
