Siddhartha is an integrated ERP solution designed specifically for insurance companies. Rule sets and accounting form the core of the system. Documents can be reproduced immediately and everywhere, and online and batch calculations of limits and premiums produce the same result. Around the core sit an internet application for automatic offers from comparison sites and a premium calculator for a company's own website, a data warehouse for statutory statistics, and production services for invoices, reminders and electronic files. Siddhartha is also the core of the digitisation solution G.I.A.N., built jointly with partner companies.
The software comes from Sumex AG, a Swiss company that is part of the ELCA Group. Switzerland is not an EU member state but an EFTA country with an EU adequacy decision. The vendor does not state where data is hosted or whether the software is delivered as a service or installed, so this should be asked. The ELCA Group privacy notice says that data processing for customers is governed by a data processing agreement. No foreign parent company is mentioned.
