Telebugs: sovereignty score and 8 European alternatives

Telebugs is an installable error-tracking system and a drop-in alternative to Sentry. It collects application errors, groups related reports and sorts the busiest problems first. Alerts go out by push, email, Slack, Discord, Teams or webhook, with notification rules to reduce noise. For each error, backtraces, breadcrumbs, request details, local variables and environment data stay together, and approved AI coding agents can inspect reports through MCP. You keep your existing Sentry SDKs and only point the DSN at your Telebugs server. Telebugs covers error tracking only, so it does not replace performance monitoring, logs or session replay.

Telebugs runs as a single Docker container on a server you control. Error data stays on your own infrastructure, and according to the vendor no hosted processing is required. After installation, core error tracking can run without outbound internet access, including on an air-gapped network. The product is sold under a self-hosted licence and delivered as downloadable source software. You therefore decide in which country and with which provider the data is stored.

Why digital sovereignty matters with Telebugs

Telebugs is headquartered in UA, outside the EU. Contracts and data therefore also fall under non-European law. The GDPR applies through contractual terms, but in a conflict with local legislation you have less certainty than with a European vendor.

Data is hosted exclusively in the EU, so Telebugs scores best on data residency.

Telebugs is closed source and hosted by the vendor. The encryption keys and the runtime sit with the vendor and switching requires data migration. Ask about bring-your-own-key, export options and open standards.

What this means for your organisation depends on your whole stack and context. The free assessment weighs Telebugs together with your other vendors and gives a total score, a heatmap and the main risk drivers.
