Tremonia DXP: sovereignty score and 8 European alternatives

Tremonia DXP is a digital experience platform and enterprise CMS for the public sector. It supports multilingual, multi-domain websites, structured content, editorial workflows, forms, search, image, video and audio handling, and tools for accessible web content such as a BITV assistant and checker. Pre-configured services and an open architecture allow it to be connected to other systems. It is delivered as server software, with migration, hosting and operation available on request.

Tremonia DXP is developed by Materna Information & Communications SE in Dortmund, Germany, a group that describes itself as a family business. The source code has been available since July 2025 on OpenCoDE, the German public sector's software platform, under the Apache License 2.0. According to Materna, the company also offers hosting in an EU data centre and operation including maintenance and support; references named include the Saarland, Schleswig-Holstein and the Federal Institute for Occupational Safety and Health. Organisations that run the software themselves keep the data on their own infrastructure.
