Zivver is a service for secure email and file sharing. Its modules cover encrypted email, protection against email threats, DMARC management and awareness training. It is offered as a web application, as an Outlook and Gmail plug-in and as a mobile app, on subscription plans for organisations of different sizes, particularly in healthcare, finance, legal services, government and education.
Zivver is headquartered in Amsterdam and also has offices in London and New York. In June 2025 Kiteworks, based in Silicon Valley, California, acquired Zivver, so the parent company falls under US jurisdiction. According to the vendor, neither Zivver nor the cloud provider hosting the data can access encrypted content. The website does not state where data centres are located, but after the acquisition Zivver announced sovereign deployment options on-premises, in a private cloud or in a public cloud. A European organisation should therefore settle the hosting location and the data processing agreement before subscribing.
