Zoho Books is cloud accounting and invoicing software, which the vendor describes as AI-ready accounting software for growing businesses. It covers invoicing and bookkeeping and is used through a web browser. It is one of the business applications offered by Zoho, alongside its CRM, mail and workplace products.
Zoho Corporation is headquartered in Chennai, India, and remains privately owned, having grown without external investment, according to its Wikipedia entry. Zoho's data-centre page lists primary and secondary centres in Amsterdam and Dublin for Europe, alongside sites in the United States, India, Asia and the Middle East. The data centre is selected according to the country entered at sign-up. The privacy page states that data may be stored in the United States, the EEA and other countries where Zoho operates, and offers a data processing addendum on request. European customers can therefore be placed in EU data centres, but because Zoho is an Indian company, transfers and access requests from outside the EU should be assessed in the contract.
