Apollo GraphOS is the platform from Apollo GraphQL for building, running and maintaining a federated graph of APIs. According to Apollo, it forms a domain model over existing systems so that applications and AI agents use REST APIs, GraphQL and SaaS services through a single layer. The platform consists of a control plane that manages and composes schemas, and a runtime in which the Apollo Router is the single endpoint for clients. It is managed through GraphOS Studio, the Rover CLI or the Platform API. GraphOS Agent Services gives agents governed access through MCP.
Apollo Graph, Inc. is based in San Francisco (US), so the service falls under US jurisdiction, including the CLOUD Act. Apollo states that it processes and stores GraphOS data in the United States. The Router and Apollo Server never send the data field of an operation response to GraphOS. For transfers from Europe, Apollo relies on the Standard Contractual Clauses, and a data processing addendum governs the processing of customer data.
