Aptabase is an open-source analytics platform for mobile, desktop and web apps, positioned as an alternative to Firebase Analytics and Google Analytics. According to the vendor, it collects no personal data, cookies or device identifiers and counts sessions rather than unique users. SDKs exist for Swift, Kotlin, Flutter, React Native, Electron, Tauri, .NET MAUI, Unity and JavaScript, among others, and a built-in dashboard is included. You can use Aptabase Cloud or host the software yourself.
Aptabase Cloud is operated by Technov Solutions SRL in Bucharest, Romania. You choose a region when you register: according to the privacy policy, the EU region (Germany) processes and stores data exclusively within the European Union, while the US region (Virginia) does so exclusively within the United States. The server is licensed under AGPL-3.0 and the SDKs under MIT, with the source code on GitHub. Self-hosting on your own servers is possible at no licence cost, with maintenance and updates your own responsibility. A European organisation can therefore decide both jurisdiction and storage location itself.
