Atman is a data centre operator headquartered in Warsaw, Poland. It offers colocation, data storage and cloud computing services, delivered from facilities the company runs itself rather than as software installed at the customer's site. The company, formerly ATM, has been called Atman since September 2021 and continues the business of its predecessor. Atman operates data centres in Warsaw and Katowice, so customer data is hosted in Poland and therefore within the EU.
In 2020 Global Compute Infrastructure, a US infrastructure investment platform backed by Goldman Sachs, acquired ATM, and a 2024 financing announcement still describes it as the major shareholder. The operator and its sites are Polish, but the US owner can bring exposure to the US CLOUD Act, which a European organisation should weigh. The exact service scope, the terms for processing personal data and the list of sub-processors are best requested directly from the provider.
