CloudSigma is a Swiss cloud provider that supplies its platform to service providers such as telecom operators, managed service providers and data centre operators. They resell it under their own brand as a white-label Sovereign Cloud. The platform offers virtual machines on KVM or VMware, VPC, ARM, block, object and backup storage, networking and security features, GPU compute for AI, and an OpenAI-compatible API for AI models. Everything can be automated through an API, including with Terraform and Ansible, and billing is based on metered usage.
CloudSigma was founded in 2009 and is headquartered in Switzerland, a country outside the EU but within EFTA. Where data is stored depends on the partner: according to CloudSigma, partners deliver the service from dozens of regions in dozens of countries, with in-country data residency. A European customer therefore needs to check, contract by contract, in which country and under which jurisdiction the infrastructure sits. CloudSigma lists certifications such as ISO 27001 and SOC 2. The platform itself is not open source.
