discovery+ is a video streaming service focused on factual and real-life programming from Discovery's channel brands, such as Discovery Channel, Animal Planet, TLC, HGTV and Food Network, plus original series. Viewers subscribe to it and watch on the web and on apps on many devices, with an ad-supported and an ad-free tier in some markets. It is a consumer service delivered as SaaS and not aimed at organisations. Availability differs per country: it has been discontinued in several European countries and its content is partly moving to HBO Max.
The service originates from Warner Bros. Discovery, a US media group headquartered in New York. In October 2026, Warner Bros. Discovery was acquired by Skydance Corporation, formerly Paramount Skydance, so the ultimate parent is a US company, which is relevant to the CLOUD Act. The service is proprietary and offers no self-hosting.
