Google Cloud Error Reporting is a Google Cloud service that groups application errors so teams can identify, prioritise and triage them. It aggregates error events into error groups by root cause. Events arrive through the Error Reporting API or from scanning log entries for stack traces and common error patterns. It is a managed service built on Cloud Logging and is used through the Google Cloud console and APIs.
Google is a subsidiary of Alphabet, headquartered in Mountain View, California, so the service falls under US jurisdiction, including the CLOUD Act. According to the documentation, Error Reporting is a global service; error groups are shown by the region of the log bucket that holds the logs and can be accessed from any region, which is not configurable. Log buckets with customer-managed encryption keys (CMEK) are not supported, and with Assured Workloads for data residency Google Cloud automatically disables the service. Check this for sensitive logs.
