gridscale is a German cloud provider offering virtual machines, managed Kubernetes, managed databases, load balancers, object storage and AMD GPU instances for AI and machine learning. It also provides Hybrid Core Concierge, a managed software tool for automating data centres, and can install its platform at a location of the customer's choosing, positioned as a route out of other clouds. The services are consumed as a hosted cloud or deployed on site.
gridscale GmbH is headquartered in Cologne, Germany. In 2023 the French company OVHcloud acquired 100 per cent of it, so the ultimate parent sits in France, also an EU member state. Its data centres are in Germany, the Netherlands (Amsterdam), Switzerland and Austria (Vienna); further European locations were planned. The platform is not presented as open source, although gridscale maintains a public GitHub profile. For a European organisation this means a German provider within a European group structure, with the option of hosting in Germany.
