Honeybadger is a monitoring service for developers that combines error tracking, logging and observability, dashboards and application performance monitoring, uptime monitoring, cron and heartbeat monitoring, and status pages. It is used as a hosted service: applications send data to Honeybadger through client libraries and teams work in its web application.
Honeybadger Industries LLC is a US company that describes itself as self-funded and profitable, with a distributed team whose bios refer to the Seattle area, the Pacific Northwest, Oregon and Cyprus. As a US company it is subject to US jurisdiction, including the CLOUD Act. By default, data is stored in Amazon's us-east-1 region. Honeybadger also offers an EU data residency option, with data on dedicated infrastructure in Amazon's eu-central-1 region in Frankfurt, Germany. EU accounts are purchased separately through eu-app.honeybadger.io; an existing US account can be copied to a new EU account, but historical data does not move. Honeybadger is not open source.
