ITVX is the British streaming service of ITV plc, launched in December 2022 as the successor to ITV Hub. Its free, advertiser-funded tier offers live streams of the ITV channels, ITV programmes on demand, licensed programming and free ad-supported channels (FAST). A paid, ad-free tier also gives access to BritBox. The service is aimed at viewers in the United Kingdom and is available on smartphones, smart TVs, streaming sticks, games consoles and pay-TV boxes from providers such as Sky, Virgin Media and YouView.
ITV plc is based in London and listed on the London Stock Exchange. The United Kingdom is outside the EU. In July 2026 ITV announced the sale of its Media & Entertainment division, which includes ITVX, to Sky, subject to regulatory approval. ITVX is proprietary software delivered as a hosted service, with no self-hosting option. For a European organisation it is a consumer service for British television content rather than an infrastructure component.
