Leaseweb is a Dutch infrastructure-as-a-service provider. Its portfolio covers bare-metal (dedicated) servers, public and private cloud, VPS, managed hosting, colocation and a content delivery network. The public cloud offers general-purpose, compute-optimised and memory-optimised instances, autoscaling, load balancers and an AWS-compatible API. You order the services yourself through an online platform and API; they are aimed at organisations from small businesses to large enterprises.
Leaseweb is headquartered in Amsterdam and, as a privately held company, belongs to the OCOM group, which is also based in Amsterdam; there is no foreign parent company. Its data centres are in Europe, but also in North America, Asia and Australia, and the customer chooses a location when ordering. If you want to keep data within the EU, select a European location deliberately. Leaseweb is not open source; the service is delivered as a commercial product.
