Mailjet is an email platform for marketing campaigns and transactional messages. Marketers work with a drag-and-drop editor, automation, segmentation, A/B testing and a form builder, while developers send email through a REST API with SDKs and webhooks, or through an SMTP relay. Deliverability tools such as address validation, dedicated IPs and domain authentication are part of the offering. Mailjet is delivered as a cloud service.
Mailjet has a French entity, Mailjet SAS, and is part of Sinch, a Stockholm-based communications group that acquired Mailjet's parent company Pathwire in December 2021. According to its privacy notice, the platforms are hosted in data centres in the United States or in Europe, depending on where the customer chooses to deploy, and data does not move between those locations. The notice names Google Cloud Platform, AWS, MacStadium and Rackspace among its infrastructure providers. Mailjet is not open source. A European organisation should explicitly choose the European deployment and include these infrastructure providers in its assessment.
