Nodea Software: sovereignty score and 8 European alternatives

Nodea Software is an open-source platform for rapidly building Node.js applications. You give instructions to a bot, after which screens and the data model are created automatically and can be used straight away. You configure workflows through a state machine and add your own business rules in an online editor or locally through a Git repository. According to the project site, the generated applications contain no proprietary components. Nodea is delivered as software you install yourself; it runs on Node.js with MariaDB, MySQL or PostgreSQL, and applications can be deployed to the cloud or on premises.

Nodea is developed by Newmips, a French SAS based in Gradignan. The source code is available on GitHub under the GPL-3.0, so you can run the generator and the generated applications on your own infrastructure and keep control of your data. The project website is hosted by OVH. None of the sources consulted mentions a foreign parent company.
