Penneo Sign supports legally defensible signing with cryptographic evidence, Penneo Verify builds verified identity into signing workflows, and Penneo Collect automates the collection of data and documents. The company states that it is a Qualified Trust Service Provider under eIDAS and holds ISO 27001 and ISO 27701 certification. It offers connectors for common enterprise systems, a REST API and webhooks, and is delivered as a cloud service.

PENNEO A/S is headquartered in Copenhagen, Denmark. In early 2025 Visma Danmark Holding A/S asked for Penneo's shares to be delisted from Nasdaq Copenhagen and started a compulsory acquisition of the remaining shares, so Penneo is now part of the Visma group. Visma is headquartered in Oslo, Norway, and is majority-owned by the UK private-equity firm HgCapital. Penneo states that all data is stored within the EU and that certificates, signatures, seals and timestamps are generated on hardware security modules in Danish data centres. No open-source or self-hosted edition is described.
