You can take these services fully managed or with operational support from plusserver. Through its subsidiary Cosanta, plusserver also offers IT security services.

plusserver is headquartered in Cologne and states that it uses certified data centres in Germany. For pluscloud open, production environments in Cologne and Hamburg have been described. In 2017, funds advised by the private equity firm BC Partners agreed to acquire plusserver from the US company GoDaddy; the company's own website does not describe its current ownership. pluscloud open is based on open-source software, namely OpenStack and the Sovereign Cloud Stack reference implementation, whereas the VMware offering uses proprietary software.
