RightSignature is an electronic signature service. Users have documents signed entirely online and can send files stored in their ShareFile account for signature. The documentation presents it as part of ShareFile, which delivers e-signature at different levels, and describes it as faster and more secure than signing on paper. It is delivered as a cloud service; there is no self-hosted edition.

ShareFile was acquired by Progress Software, a US company, from Cloud Software Group in October 2024. A US provider is subject to legislation such as the CLOUD Act. The vendor publishes no data location and no GDPR or data processing agreement for this service. A European organisation should therefore ask about hosting, processing terms and the legal status of the signatures before use. The service is proprietary and not open source.
