MetaKube is SysEleven's managed Kubernetes platform. It manages compute, storage and network resources on the basis of Kubernetes and runs on SysEleven's own OpenStack cloud. It comes in three tiers: Core for hosting cloud applications, Accelerator for setting up and managing software projects, and Operator, where the provider takes over both hosting and operation of the applications. It is aimed at organisations that want to work cloud-natively without running the infrastructure themselves, and it is consumed as a service.
SysEleven GmbH is based in Berlin and has been a wholly owned subsidiary of secunet Security Networks AG, a German company, since 2022. SysEleven's website now redirects to secunet.cloud. According to the provider, the cloud runs in six georedundant data centres in Germany; at the time of the acquisition these were ISO 27001-certified locations. The infrastructure is based on open source, while no such statement is made for MetaKube itself. For European organisations this means hosting under German control and without a non-European parent company.
