TaskCards is a digital pinboard in the browser, aimed at education and projects. Cards can hold text, images, audio, video and documents and are arranged as a kanban board, free-form board, timeline, world map or blog. Users collaborate and can comment on cards. Organisations can sign in through existing identity systems using OpenID Connect or SAML. It is an alternative to Padlet for schools, universities and teams that want a shared pinboard without an app.
TaskCards is provided by dSign Systems GmbH of Schmalkalden, Germany. According to the privacy policy, hosting and backups of the platform core run inside the EU and the EEA, without naming the hosting provider or locations; the product page cites server locations in Germany, France and Poland. dSign acts as a processor under Article 28 GDPR and publishes a data processing agreement, including variants for church-run schools. A European organisation can download the processing agreement directly and consult the current list of sub-processors.
