Chartbrew is a platform for live KPI dashboards built on databases and APIs. You connect a data source such as Postgres, MySQL, MongoDB, ClickHouse, Stripe or Google Analytics, build dashboards with charts, tables and filters, and share or embed them internally or for clients. An AI assistant helps with SQL and data exploration, and alerts can go to Slack, email or webhooks. Chartbrew is available as a cloud service (app.chartbrew.com) and as a self-hosted application, for example via Docker.
Chartbrew is provided by Depomo Ltd, a company with a registered office in Edinburgh, Scotland. According to its security overview, the application and database run at Worldstream in the Netherlands, while asset storage, media processing and off-site backups are on AWS in London. From version 4, the source code is licensed under the Functional Source License 1.1 (MIT Future License): internal use and self-hosting are permitted, competing commercial use is not, and each release converts to MIT after two years. This is not an OSI-approved open-source licence.
