Checkly is a monitoring-as-code platform for developers. Teams write uptime, API and synthetic browser checks, built on Playwright, in TypeScript, or define them with Terraform or Pulumi, and deploy them with a command-line tool. It also offers heartbeat monitoring for cron jobs, status pages, alerting through channels such as Slack and PagerDuty, OpenTelemetry-based traces and AI-assisted root-cause analysis. Checks run from many global locations, including Ireland and Frankfurt. The service is delivered as SaaS.
Checkly lists offices in New York and Berlin, and the legal entity named on its site is Checkly Inc. The platform is proprietary. According to its security page, data is stored in the European Union, in AWS eu-west-1 (Ireland); check results may be stored in the region where a check was run, and for disaster recovery data can fall back to AWS us-east-1. Checkly states that it is GDPR and SOC 2 Type 2 compliant. A European organisation should confirm which entity and law govern the contract and who has support access to check data.
