Healthchecks.io is a monitoring service for scheduled tasks such as cron jobs, backups and background workers. Each check gets a unique ping URL; the job calls it when it runs, and the service raises an alert when a ping is late or missing. Users define schedules with cron expressions, review ping logs and send notifications by email, webhook and many chat and incident tools. The hosted service is offered as a cloud product, and the open-source code can also be self-hosted.
The hosted service is operated by SIA Monkey See Monkey Do, a Latvian company with a contact address in Riga. Healthchecks is published under the BSD 3-clause licence, and its documentation describes self-hosting as a supported option. The privacy policy refers to the GDPR and names Hetzner and Amazon Web Services as processors without stating their locations, and it notes that some data from EU users may be processed outside the EEA by third-party processors. Self-hosting on the organisation's own infrastructure gives the most control over where monitoring data is stored.
